Electric Scooter Training:
Do you live in London? Have you seen e-scooters around town? Would you like to give one a try, but perhaps are a little apprehensive? Well, at ScooTours, we’re all about promoting the safe use of e-scooters.
We are now offering community training sessions with our e-scooter partner Dott. Every training session is free to attend and you will be provided with a free Dott helmet. These training sessions are designed for beginners and first-time users. They serve as a great introduction to e-scooters and will provide the experience of using one alongside other road users.
Training Offered In Partnership With Dott:
All of our London e-scooter training sessions are run in partnership with Dott, a leading e-scooter rental company operating in 17 cities throughout Europe. Your trainer and Dott e-scooter will be waiting for you at the start location. We will also provide every customer with a helmet, that they can take home after the session.
You will need to access your e-scooter at the start of the training via the Dott App. We will provide every customer with an exclusive promo code that allows you to unlock and use an e-scooter for free for the duration of the training!
For more details on our e-scooters and how to download the Dott App, see “Additional Information” below …
What To Expect:
The training will begin in Circus Place, next to Finsbury Circus (opposite Liverpool Street Station) (view on map).
Our training sessions are designed to teach you two things; how to operate an e-scooter safely and how to use one safely on the road. Each training session will consist of two parts.
We will begin with an in-depth safety tutorial and a lesson on how to ride an e-scooter. Every participant will then be given time to practice in a quiet and safe space.
This will be followed by a guided scoot around London, which will feature a variety of different road types. This route has been designed to use scooter-friendly roads and plenty of cycle lanes. By the end of the session, each customer will have a better understanding of how an e-scooter works and will gain experience in using one safely amongst other road users.
These sessions will last 1 hour and are offered every week throughout the summer. Once a month we will be offering a women-only session.
Once you have completed your training, why not consider one of our e-scooter tours? Or, consider pairing up a morning training session with an afternoon tour. All of our tours are designed to show you London in a new light. We offer excellent sightseeing tours, such as our as well as more unique experiences like our Hidden London E-Scooter Tour. We also offer a collection of Private Tours if you’re planning a special event or team-building activity.
Have any questions? Feel free to get in touch. We can easily be reached at info@scootourslondon.com.
